Since the very first time we met Chantelle + David we knew they were the perfect match for each other. We photographed their engagement, followed by portraits with their newborn baby Carys, and so when it finally came to their wedding day we were more than excited to document it! We started the day with David and his brothers who were acting as groomsmen. They were super relaxed and looked amazing in their suits. Next we headed to the Vineyard Cottages where the girls’ hair and makeup was complete, and Chantelle was dressing Carys. For having just had a baby, we still can’t get over how incredible Chantelle looked – such a hot mum! The nerves were building as Chantelle got into her dress… the day was finally here and it was all happening!
We got to Gracehill to find guests mingling whilst they and David nervously awaited the bride’s arrival. It was a moment not to forget, and it’s these photos we love so much, seeing David’s face as his veiled bride made her way down the aisle to become his wife. Their vows were next level, bringing tears to the eyes of many (we may or may not have choked up a little too). The amazing celebrant was Lynley Keightley, who did an awesome job as always. A really special moment during the ceremony was when David + Chantelle honoured David’s kids, and wee baby Carys too, presenting them each with a piece of jewellery to remember the day.
We utilised the pretty grounds of Gracehill for a few photos before stealing the bride + groom away to a nearby property that had the most luscious field and tree-lined driveway – the perfect backdrop for some romantic portraits. We were back at Gracehill before long, photographing their guests, some incredible speeches and of course their reactions. After settling baby Carys for a bit, it was Chantelle + David’s turn to hit the dance floor for the first time as husband and wife, and soon plenty of their guests had joined them to shred it up, including at one point Chantelle’s grandfather! It was priceless.
Chantelle + David, we love you guys, thanks so much for having us there on your day. We know you’ll have a great marriage for many, many years to come. x
