It’s always a good day when you get to go out to Waiheke Island! Especially when it’s sunny and warm like it was on the 27th of February when Cress and Pete married. We started out the day with Pete, his groomsmen and family, where they were enjoying the sunshine, views and a few cold beers before getting ready. It was so cool to see that guests had travelled in from all over the world, making it a very special occasion indeed. After a few photos (and a lot of laughs), we left the boys and headed towards Villa Pacifica, where Cress and the girls were getting ready. What a stunning location to get ready at too… the views across the water towards Auckland were spectacular! Cress was very excited and when we saw her dress hanging up we were too – we knew we were in for something incredible! She looked amazing. It was a special time to photograph her with her mum and bridesmaids, and later with her family, all so excited, happy and a little teary eyed! Before long, it was time to head to the ceremony…
We arrived at Stonyridge Vineyard and were greeted by guests absolutely loving the sunshine, and Pete looking pretty pumped to see his wife-to-be walk down the aisle! And we’re sure he wasn’t disappointed – Cress was so much fun, even making a little dance of it as she walked towards him. The anticipation of that moment is always palpable, and a real highlight of any wedding day. They exchanged wonderful vows, expressing their love and commitment to each other, and we’re sure they’ll have an awesome marriage. Despite the heat, we loved getting to document all of the celebrations, and escaping with the bridal party for a quick photo session down at the beach – perfect!
Stonyridge is a fantastic spot for drinking wine outside with friends on those sunny summer days, so of course it makes a stunning wedding venue. Their reception area looked great, overlooking the vines down below. Cress + Pete, we wish you all the best, see you soon! xx
