Joe & Vanessa. What can we say?!
To say we were excited to be a part of their wedding day is a slight understatement. It is not often I (Lauren) meet someone as extroverted and excited about ‘things’, let alone, able to be MORE excited about said ‘things’. Introducing Joe. We instantly got on (who wouldn’t?!).
Of course, Joe wouldn’t be complete without his steady and calm partner in life, Vanessa. She is the calm in the room (like Delwyn), can sense others needs and act accordingly. The perfect match
The big day arrived and was scattered with sunshine and rain, which by no means dampened anyones spirits. This was a celebration no matter what the weather! After hilarious songs and dances with the boys getting ready, and heartfelt moments at brides home, we were off to see them get married! The ceremony was beautiful, with Joe’s brother leading the worship songs. After many hugs and family photos, we set off to Kumeu Valley Estate for some nibbles and a few indoor photos whilst it rained.
Amazingly, the rain lifted and we shot off to Muriwai Beach for some photos – this was so much fun, lots of singing and practicing the first dance with the bridal party, and even a few photos with some tourists! Ha!
We headed back for an evening of hilarious speeches, lots of laughter and fun, and of course, fabulous food and hospitality from the talented team at Kumeu Valley Estate.
We left the guests carving up the dance floor, singing at the top of their lungs. So awesome. I don’t think I stopped smiling the entire drive home!
Thank you Joe and Vanessa for inviting us to document your photos and video of your day. We feel blessed to be a part of your journey, and wish you all the best in your married life together. #teamawesome
