Haylea + Matt’s wedding day on the 21st of November was a massive celebration. With the help of friends and family, they did nearly everything themselves, from the decorations, to the food, Haylea made her bouquet and the cake, while her mum is responsible for those gorgeous green bridesmaids gowns, and Haylea’s beautiful skirt too.
While the morning began with rain, and got heaviest during the ceremony at Auckland Botanic Gardens , we were lucky enough for the rain to subside just as we needed it to, meaning we still got to venture into the gardens to take some outdoor bridal party photos! We’re still pinching ourselves that the rain stopped when it did, we are on a roll with being lucky with the weather! The gardens was the perfect spot for the proceedings, which included a tree planting ceremony (so sweet) and we loved catching Haylea + Matt giving each other the cutest looks throughout the ceremony 🙂
Once we’d completed our photos, we headed to the Whitford Hall, which was decked out incredibly, with everyone lending a hand to transform the place… Have a look at the photos, because they honestly did such an amazing job! A real highlight of the evening was Haylea + Matt’s first dance in rock’n’roll style, and at its completion, the entry of the Superhero Second Line band making their grand entrance, much to the guests’ surprise and delight! A live band always goes down a treat, but even more so when they are dressed as super heroes 🙂
