It was a beautiful, clear day on the 9th of August and we were with Candace + Shaun to photograph them getting married! It was made all the more special with Shaun’s grandfather acting as best man for the day… It was his first time ever as a groomsman! We started off the day at Shaun’s place where he + his family were all getting ready. We couldn’t get over how special it was that Shaun had asked his grandfather to be his best man – so sweet! After a few family photos it was time to head over to Candace’s where she was also surrounded by family (+ three ridiculously cute flower girls) as she got ready. There were a few moments to spare before Shaun got a glimpse of his bride for the first time, before they began a traditional Chinese tea ceremony. It’s always so nice to be a part of these special moments on the day! Before long, we were on our way to the chapel, where Grandad did a great job taking care of the rings, passing them on for the couple to exchange. Congratulations, hugs all round + family photos quickly followed, then we whisked the bridal party away for a few photos. We were even treated to a pink sky while the sun set during our last few photos. Candace + Shaun rejoined their guests at McHugh’s of Cheltenham to celebrate the rest of the night, punctuated by the cutting of the cake (how awesome is the minion themed topper?!), photobooth visits + of course, their first dance as husband + wife.
