Emma & Mat were married at the scenic location of Castaways, south of Auckland.
It was one of the brightest, hottest days in February we had experienced, but it didn’t stop anyone from having a great time – nothing a pair of sunnies can’t fix!
Emma & Mat are dedicated to keeping NZ beautiful, and everything from their wedding, from dresses to decorations, was from a NZ supplier, hand-made and/or reusable or recyclable.
They gave their guests little potted native plants to take home and plant to remember their day, and enjoy. The place names were made from cut wood, and their cake was made from NZ made cheese. Their wine was sourced from a Hawke’s Bay boutique winery Moana Park. Every detail had been carefully thought out and considered. Their reception room was transformed into a low light NZ forest of sorts – SO cool!
Emma and her bridesmaids dresses were from one of our favourite NZ designers, A La Robe, look them up online and find out more about them.
The boys got their attire from Suits on Broadway, and i have to say, they looked very dashing!
Emma & Mat included their beautiful dog Bailey in the ceremony, who of course stole the show – Mat had hand-made the collar and lead that Bailey wore to present their rings to them. Their gorgeous rings were made by Diamonds Forever.
They rode in style thanks to Kombined Experience, in a super funky combi van!
After some amazing speeches, and the world’s most hilarious MC, Mike Heard, they partied it up on the dancefloor with their amazing band.
