Josh + Jess were married on the last Sunday of September and we were lucky enough to be their photographers for the day. We made a quick stop at the boys’ bach, where Josh + his groomsmen were relaxing in front of the TV watching the All Blacks play Argentina. His family joined them there for a quick drink as they all got excited for the day, marvelling at how good Josh looked in his suit!
We left them and headed out to the Wild at Heart barn in Kumeu where gorgeous Jess + her bridesmaids were getting ready. It is the coolest place to get ready, set on stunning grounds with wonderful garden backdrops for the bridal portraits! The girls all loaded into their classic cars and we headed to Kumeu Valley Estate. The ceremony was filled with smiles, heartfelt vows + a even few tears from the front row. There were congratulations all round + the guests were left with bubbles in hand as we whisked the bridal party out to Muriwai for some photos. What a pretty landscape it was… thankfully the rain stayed away, allowing us to capture some stunning portraits.
By the time we arrived back at the venue, the sun was ready to set + the fairy lights were in full glow giving the reception a pretty magical feel. Josh + Jess made their grand entrance, followed by some great speeches, the cutting of the cake + their first dance. What a beautiful day… thanks so much Josh + Jess – we hope you love the photos as much as we loved making them!
