We are so happy to share a few of Lucy + Mike’s wedding photos with you today! It rained pretty heavily on the morning of Lucy + Mike’s wedding, and while some people might be a little deterred by it, Lucy + Mike were just stoked to be getting married! We reached the boys’ house to find them very excitedly getting dressed, arranging bow ties and ensuring the rings were exactly where they should be. The rain had set in as we arrived at Lucy’s place, but we were hoping the more it rained now, the less it would later! The girls were in good spirits, admiring the beautiful flowers provided by Floral Stylist – seriously, the flowers were amazing, and the job they did at the reception was incredible! Lucy’s stunning dress was by the ever so talented Vinka Design, and was a dream to photograph. Lucy’s mum was so sweet, showing us photos of Lucy as a little girl… it was a big day for the family to see their only daughter married!
Unfortunately the rain did anything but subside as the ceremony time arrived, with Lucy and the girls making a mad dash amongst a sea of umbrellas, into the church at Mt Eden. It was a beautiful ceremony, with some very sweet vows exchanged. After a short afternoon tea and a few family photos, the bridal party boarded a yellow bus (Lucy is a school teacher) bound for Kumeu Valley Estate. We were lucky enough for the rain to clear and the sun to come out, just as we arrived – good luck or what!? We had a lot of fun, taking some portraits on the grounds there before nipping down the road with the newlyweds for a few on that beautiful driveway you’ll see below.
