As we’ve said here before, Suzanne + Shane were one of the happiest couples we’ve ever come across – they didn’t let the rain dampen their spirits, and you can just see on their faces how excited they were to be getting married. We began the day with the boys at this amazing apartment on K’Road that they’d hired, where everyone was in a great mood, popping the corks off a few bottles of Passion Pop and giving each other a hard time. The wind was picking up by the time we reached the girls, which was perfect for the kite surfers below at St Heliers beach. Suzanne + her bridesmaids looked absolutely stunning, brimming with excitement!
Before long it was time to head off to St Mary’s Chapel in Ponsonby where their guests, who’d arrived from all over NZ and Australia, were eagerly waiting. Shane looked a little bit nervous, but Suzanne didn’t keep him waiting long – her entrance to the chapel brought smiles to everyone’s faces. A couple of minutes after the ceremony ended, the heavens well and truly opened, so we headed to Mantells on the Water for a quick shoot, before utilising some of the covered areas down at Britomart for some portraits. Suzanne + Shane truly proved to us that on your wedding day the weather doesn’t matter, they were so completely happy… and that’s why we love our job!
