Theresa + Doug’s wedding day at Cassels was a stunner. The weather was a real mixed bag that day, with rain falling as we arrived at the boys’ place. Good thing they were inside, keeping dry and in good spirits with a few cold drinks. Theresa had gifted Doug a pair of socks too just in case he had cold feet… By the time we reached the girls at Waitakere Estate, we’d driven through the worst of the rain and the clouds appeared to be parting a bit, just as we needed it to! After photographing all of the details and the last preparations of the girls getting ready, we separated the two groups and positioned them ready for their first look. As first looks often go, this one was hotly anticipated. Doug could not wait to see his beautiful bride for the first time on their wedding day!! Of course, the final reveal was filled with emotion! We love documenting moments like this. With plenty of pretty garden to use as a backdrop, we had fun with Tea, Doug and their bridal party, before it was time to head to Cassels for the wedding ceremony. By this point, unfortunately the rain had come back with a vengeance, but luckily Cassels have a great wet-weather alternative. Their vows were really special, and it was a joy to photograph these two tie the knot. Theresa + Doug, we wish you all the best in your marriage – looking forward to seeing you again soon 🙂
