Friday the 2nd of October saw us photograph our first wedding of the season, and what a way to start it off! The forecast was for rain, but luckily it was sunny at all the right moments, including for Tyler + Lee’s outdoor ceremony on the beautiful lawn of Abbeville Estate. When we saw Tyler’s dress for the first time, we couldn’t get over how stunning and perfect it was – it’s not everyday you get to photograph a genuine vintage 1930s wedding gown! Thankfully the rain stayed away, meaning everyone could enjoy the day’s proceedings outdoors, and we were stoked to get to use all that Abbeville Estate has to offer, including that adorable wee church, as a backdrop. Some lovely, and hilarious, moments were shared during the speeches, with a tear or two shed by a few people across the crowd… And we were stoked that the rain waited ’til everyone was safe inside the barn, partying away, to make itself at home – we had the windscreen wipers on full bore on the drive back to the city!! Our luck with the weather continues 🙂
